Sharing Christ with Others

Key Scripture: Matthew 5:16 (KJV)

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Let Your Life Point Others to Jesus

Sharing Christ involves more than preaching or quoting Bible verses. It means allowing His love to shine through our words, actions, and daily interactions. A kind gesture, a listening ear, a word of encouragement, or a helping hand can open someone’s heart to the love of God.

Jesus modeled this throughout His earthly ministry. Ellen G. White writes in The Ministry of Healing, p. 143:

“The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, ‘Follow Me.’”

What a beautiful example for us. Before sharing the message of Christ, we should be willing to show genuine care for people. Our kindness does not replace sharing the gospel; rather, it creates opportunities for others to hear about the hope we have in Jesus.

You Can Make a Difference

You do not have to be a preacher or have all the answers to share Christ. You can tell someone what God has done in your life, pray with a friend, encourage someone who is discouraged, or share a Bible promise with a person who needs hope.

In Matthew 28:19–20, Jesus commissions His followers to go and make disciples, assuring them that He will be with them always. This reminds us that we do not witness in our own strength. God can use our willingness, however small it may seem, to touch another person’s life.

As Ellen G. White writes in The Ministry of Healing, p. 470:

“The strongest argument in favor of the gospel is a loving and lovable Christian.”

Our lives should support the message we share. When people see patience, honesty, forgiveness, and compassion in us, they catch a glimpse of Christ’s character.

A Personal Challenge

Think of one person who needs to experience God’s love this week. Pray for them, reach out, offer encouragement, and look for a natural opportunity to share what Jesus means to you.

You may never know how much a simple act of kindness or a sincere word about Christ can mean to someone.

Prayer: Dear Lord, make me a willing vessel of Your love. Help me reflect Your character, and give me courage to share the hope I have in Jesus. Guide my words and actions so that others may be drawn closer to You. Amen.

Carry This Thought With You: You do not need perfect words to share Jesus; you need a willing heart and a life that reflects His love.

“Here am I; send me.” — Isaiah 6:8 (KJV)
